What Neighbors Are Saying About Living in Forest Highlands:

“My favorite thing about forest highlands is pretty much everything. I love the people I have met who have become forever friends and feel like family. I love the world class golf facilities, all of the seasons, the club restaurants and all of the activities offered. There is never a dull moment and never enough time to do everything. And the location to so many great destinations and activities. We have been there for almost 20 years and it’s my favorite place and makes my heart sing every time I pull in the gate on forest highlands drive.”

“Forest Highlands is a camp for adults. I’ve been there for 25 years and have made lifelong friends. We have 2 award-winning golf courses and 2 very different Club Houses. The vibe is super fun and casual and there is always something to do for all ages. Our Friday Happy Hour hosts a couple of 100 people and is always a kickoff to the weekend. I couldn’t love Forest Highlands any more.”

If Forest Highlands was a band, I think it would be...

Pearl Jam. They, too, wear plaid but are a bit more woodsy.

If Forest Highlands was a dog, I think it would be...

A West Highland terrier, a breed described as “smart, confident & adapts well to both city & country-side life” similar because many residents in this beautiful neighborhood split their time between mountain & city living. And of course, Forest Highlands offers world renowned golf (so both are Scottish originals.) The Westie is probably great at keeping the course free of pesky gophers too!

If Forest Highlands was a cast iron dish, I think it would be...

Deep dish Chicago style pizza. What’s more inviting to friends and neighbors than a thick slice of pie and a beer.

If Forest Highlands was a Star Wars character, I think it would be...

Wicket the Ewok. Living amongst the trees, with a strong sense of community, and knows how to throw a solid dance party.

If Forest Highlands was a car, it would be...

A Cadillac, classic, well-built, and can always be relied on.

Weather in Flagstaff

Weather

With four distinct seasons, Flagstaff’s weather offers something for everyone. Warm and bright sunshine in the summer, chilly mornings with colorful aspens in the fall, snow with freezing temperatures in the winter, and a mix of everything in the spring. The average high in the summer is 80ºF and a low of 53ºF. During the cold season of late November to early March, the average daily high is below 49ºF. The hottest month is July and the coldest month is December. Flagstaff’s mountain elevation does bring summer monsoon storms that keep the trails in great shape and the hot days to a minimum.

Market Trends

Flagstaff has historically had a market based on high demand and low inventory. This creates a seller’s market, with buyers scooping up Flagstaff homes quickly as they come on the market. In the past 20 years, home prices have increased in Arizona by an average rate of 4.15%. In 2021 – they doubled! Although new homes are being built in Flagstaff and surrounding communities like Bellemont and Kachina Village, we expect it to continue to be a seller's market for years to come.

Our Community

Flagstaff is a tightly knit community that offers small-town vibes with all the city amenities you need. With its bustling downtown life, numerous mountain adventures and active Northern Arizona University campus, Flagstaff is home to a diverse community. Weekly summer farmer’s markets, art walks, theater happenings, local breweries, shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance of Downtown Flagstaff. There are seven national parks and monuments within 80 miles of Flagstaff, including Walnut National Monument and the Grand Canyon. With Sedona’s unique landscape just 45 minutes to the south and Snowbowl Ski Resort just 30 minutes to the north, Flagstaff is an outdoor lovers’ paradise.
