A man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she’s a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Downtown Friday Nights on Heritage Square this week features Capoeira Amizade Flagstaff, a local group devoted to the understanding and practice of the Afro-Brazilian art of Capoeira, along with long time local favorite musician Jimmy DeBlois. 6:00 p.m.
Hear the songwriters behind the more famous Nashville artists at a Nashville Hit Songwriters Acoustic Concert on Friday evening at the Museum Club. Meet and greet with Earl Bud Lee, John Wiggins, and J. Michael Harter – the talent behind songs like “Friends in Low Places,” “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” and “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking.” The show features hits by George Strait, Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, and many others sung by the writers who wrote them. Gather your adventurous friends for the Flagstaff Extreme Terrain Mud Run on Saturday at Fort Tuthill County Park. Choose YOUR course of 5k, 10k or 10k.
