The History of Pine Canyon

Pine Canyon’s championship golf course was the last course designed by famous designer Jay Morrish in 1988. The Pine Canyon community is made up of several distinct communities. Each boasts unique floorplans and living experiences. Each community has four property types for potential residents to choose from. Residents can choose between condominiums, homes, homesites, and resale homes depending on what works best for their budget and lifestyle! Located only 3 miles from historic downtown Flagstaff, Pine Canyon benefits from the rich history associated with the mountain town. Flagstaff’s long history with the railroad industry is even paid homage to the Morrish Station Midway Grille, a 1944 Santa Fe railroad caboose that has been repurposed to serve hungry golfers heading into the back nine.

Weather in Flagstaff

Weather in Flagstaff

Weather

With four distinct seasons, Flagstaff’s weather offers something for everyone. Warm and bright sunshine in the summer, chilly mornings with colorful aspens in the fall, snow with freezing temperatures in the winter, and a mix of everything in the spring. The average high in the summer is 80ºF and a low of 53ºF. During the cold season of late November to early March, the average daily high is below 49ºF. The hottest month is July and the coldest month is December. Flagstaff’s mountain elevation does bring summer monsoon storms that keep the trails in great shape and the hot days to a minimum.

Market Trends

Flagstaff has historically had a market based on high demand and low inventory. This creates a seller’s market, with buyers scooping up Flagstaff homes quickly as they come on the market. In the past 20 years, home prices have increased in Arizona by an average rate of 4.15%. In 2021 – they doubled! Although new homes are being built in Flagstaff and surrounding communities like Bellemont and Kachina Village, we expect it to continue to be a seller's market for years to come.

Our Community

Flagstaff is a tightly knit community that offers small-town vibes with all the city amenities you need. With its bustling downtown life, numerous mountain adventures and active Northern Arizona University campus, Flagstaff is home to a diverse community. Weekly summer farmer’s markets, art walks, theater happenings, local breweries, shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance of Downtown Flagstaff. There are seven national parks and monuments within 80 miles of Flagstaff, including Walnut National Monument and the Grand Canyon. With Sedona’s unique landscape just 45 minutes to the south and Snowbowl Ski Resort just 30 minutes to the north, Flagstaff is an outdoor lovers’ paradise.
