The History of Lockett Ranches:
Lockett Ranches was carefully developed to preserve the natural beauty of Flagstaff’s northern ponderosa forest while offering residents large estate lots with room to build custom homes. Named for the Lockett family, early ranchers in the area, this community was designed with an emphasis on harmony between nature and residential living. With its meadows, ponds, rock formations, and access to Forest Service lands, Lockett Ranches remains one of Flagstaff’s most exclusive and scenic places to live, offering privacy and wildlife viewing just minutes from downtown.
If Lockett Ranches was a Streaming Series, it Would Be…
Yellowstone. Lockett Ranches offers that secluded ranch lifestyle, where nature and luxury coexist—however, it does not have Yellowstone’s drama 🙂
If Lockett Ranches was a Superhero, it would be…
Black Widow. Sophisticated and classy with amazing style.
If Lockett Ranches was an Animal, it would be…
A Persian Cat – independent yet social, quiet, refined, and polished.
If Lockett Ranches was a Food, it would be…
The best darn chicken fried steak you can find. Not the generic frozen stuff. Life-changing country deliciousness, that you didn’t even know existed until it melted in your mouth.
If Lockett Ranches was a professional athlete, it would be…
Kevin Durant. Durant is often underrated when conversations turn to the NBA’s all-time greats, much like Lockett Ranch is sometimes overlooked among Flagstaff’s luxury communities. Yet with its towering ponderosa pines, tranquil ponds, and close proximity to downtown, Lockett Ranch quietly offers an elite experience that rivals the best.
If Lockett Ranches was an actor, it would be…
Tom Hardy! Lockett Ranches is located on the outskirts of Flagstaff, and although it is not widely known, it is one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in Northern Arizona. Tom Hardy isn’t the most well-known actor, but he delivers a remarkable performance and will undoubtedly go down as one of the best actors ever.

Weather
With four distinct seasons, Flagstaff’s weather offers something for everyone. Warm and bright sunshine in the summer, chilly mornings with colorful aspens in the fall, snow with freezing temperatures in the winter, and a mix of everything in the spring. The average high in the summer is 80ºF and a low of 53ºF. During the cold season of late November to early March, the average daily high is below 49ºF. The hottest month is July and the coldest month is December. Flagstaff’s mountain elevation does bring summer monsoon storms that keep the trails in great shape and the hot days to a minimum.
Market Trends
Flagstaff has historically had a market based on high demand and low inventory. This creates a seller’s market, with buyers scooping up Flagstaff homes quickly as they come on the market. In the past 20 years, home prices have increased in Arizona by an average rate of 4.15%. In 2021 – they doubled! Although new homes are being built in Flagstaff and surrounding communities like Bellemont and Kachina Village, we expect it to continue to be a seller's market for years to come.
