RE/MAX is celebrating its 40th anniversary this week and I’m in Las Vegas to learn and connect
R4 is the social media shorthand we’re using this week for the annual RE/MAX International Convention. RE/MAX is celebrating 40 years and I’m expecting some big announcements. I’m in Las Vegas to connect with agents from around the country (and world – there are a couple of Italians two doors down from me here in at the MGM Grand). I’m also here to brush up on my social media skills and make sure that I know all the RE/MAX has to offer me and my clients.
So, here’s what my schedule this week will be:
Monday, 7:30 a.m. Buses leave the hotel for Tee It Up for Kids golf event benefitingChildren’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Yes, I brought my clubs.
Monday, 4:30 p.m. Opening general session featuring RE/MAX CEO Margaret Kelly and RE/MAX founder and chairman of the board, Dave Liniger. After 2.5 hours of that, I collapse.
Tuesday, 9 a.m. Beginning of three-hour General Session with featured speak Brian Buffini, one of the greatest trainers in the real estate business, and Gary Vaynerchuk, social media guru. I made the mistake of following Vaynerchuk on Twitter after the last time I saw him speak and was overwhelmed with Tweets. That showed me whatnot to do in social media.
Breakout sessions on social media could fill Tuesday afternoon, or I could just do some work in my comfortable room. Tuesday evening, I’ll be “socializing” live and in person with RE/MAX agents from all over the southwest at our regional cocktail party. I’ve already set a “meet-up” with my favorite Scottsdale agent.
Wednesday 9 a.m. I’ll be back in the Grand Garden Arena at the MGM for another 3 hours, featuring “motivational speaker” Condoleezza Rice. I know she’s a good speaker, so I’ll leave it at that. Andy Andrews also speaks in this session. More breakout sessions fill the afternoon.
Thursday More small sessions in the morning, but I may be working primarily on Flagstaff real estate. The closing general session begins at 2:30 p.m. The featured speaker is Platon. (I’m curious.) Finally, we end the week with a concert by Stevie Nicks. (Incomparable.)
I’ll keep you posted with any big developments throughout the week (or maybe even some small ones). If you need help with Flagstaff real estate, my incomparable colleagues, Eric Davis and Jessica Garard are on the job in Flagstaff. You can reach them at 928.714.0001 (our usual number). And, remember to visit my website for all your Flagstaff real estate needs. Have a great week!
