Yesterday’s National Association of Realtors® report on the drop in pending home sales blamed the drop in investor purchases. I think this had something to do with it, too: Consumer confidence falls sharply in September – MarketWatch.
Case-Shiller’s (always lagging) report on home prices for July also proved what I’ve been saying: Late May and June were the best of the real estate market for this year. Even “hot” real estate markets showed declines.
