What It’s Like Living in Continental Country Club
Continental Country Club is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Flagstaff for many different reasons. It is close to downtown Flagstaff, plenty of trails, golf, and much more. As a resident, you are responsible for a $550 per year social membership fee. With this, you get many different amenities. There is an 18 hole Championship Golf Course (there are extra costs to play), tennis courts, pickleball courts, a fitness center and tons of different community events. Members also get access to the Bear Paw Recreation Center, which has another pool, ping-pong tables, tons of games and more. You are also close to the Oakmont Restaurant which was recently voted best outdoor dining in Flagstaff. There is also the private golf club, Aspen Valley Golf Course, situated within the community. Aspen Valley Golf Course is a Championship Golf course situated around the Rio de Flag ponds, lakes and spectacular mountain views.
Continental Country Club is unlike the other golf course communities in Flagstaff in that it is not gated and you do not have to pay the high membership fees of the other golf communities. The community falls within the city limits of Flagstaff and is close to downtown Flagstaff. Continental Country Club was once primarily a second home community. A lot of people want to escape the heat of Phoenix or Las Vegas and like the convenience of the Continental Country Club. With the current low inventory in Flagstaff, however, many people are adding Continental for their full-time home even if they don’t golf.
Continental Country Club does have a Homeowner’s Association with certain Condition, Covenants, and Restrictions that homeowners have to follow. The restriction that will deter a lot of people is the rule of “no fencing.” Homeowners are allowed to have a 1000 square foot “dog run” as part of their yard. This does deter a lot of pet owners or households with children.
The Continental Country Club also holds one of Flagstaff’s longest traditions, The Independence Day Celebration. Each year there is a big party on the golf course full of fun for the whole family. And, if there are no fire restrictions, they put on an awesome firework display. This is such a great way to spend the Fourth of July holiday. The residents of Continental are super lucky because they don’t have to battle the traffic at this event.
What Kind of Homes are in Continental Country Club
There are a lot of different options when it comes to housing in Continental Country Club. There are condominiums, big and small, that you can purchase in the $180,000 – $300,000 price range. There are many types of townhomes available from $300,000 – $500,000.
